Amanda is a recovering group fitness junkie and power lifter. She holds 7 fitness certifications, including a Bikram Method 200 hour teacher training, which she received in 2016.
Dedicated to prevention, she works as the Health Systems Education Manager for the Colon Cancer Prevention Project, and holds a Master’s in public health from the University of Louisville. Constantly on the go (with a slightly hyper personality) she finds stillness and calm in Bikram yoga.
Teaching fitness classes for the Boys and Girls Club was one of Amanda’s favorite endeavors and she loves practicing yoga with her three year old niece Penny. Children remind her that happiness is the most important part of yoga and perfection should be strived for but is not necessary.
