As a beginner, you are welcome to take any of our Bikram classes. Our classes are specifically designed with the beginner in mind. If you feel nervous, scared, or a little intimidated, don’t let that stop you from coming to class. We love new students who have never practiced yoga before! Your first class will be challenging but it will be worth it! Come into class with an open mind and heart. With patience and practice you’ll soon feel right at home.

Reserve Online
The only way to guarantee your spot in class is to reserve online. Please take a look at our schedule and book the one that works best for you. If you haven't created an account, you will be prompted by our system to do so at this time.
Reservations must be cancelled at least 2 hours prior to class beginning to avoid a $10 cancellation fee.
What to Bring
You will need a yoga mat, a large towel and a bottle of water for class.
Standard mats are fine to start with but we strongly encourage you to invest in a closed-cell mat if you continue with the practice. They provide more support, slip less and will not trap water or sweat inside the mat like standard mats do. We sell a variety of closed-cell Manduka mats, they are perfect for a Bikram practice.
What to Eat
It is best to practice on an empty stomach. If you must eat, have something light 2 to 3 hours before class. A lot of food in your stomach could make you feel nauseous in the heat.
What to Drink
Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Electrolyte replenishers are great for during and after class. We carry single-use packets and large jars of Ultima electrolyte replenisher. We like this product because it is vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, contains no carbs, calories, or caffeine. It is made with plant-based colors and real fruit flavors.
What to Wear
Wear light workout clothing that allows for movement and makes you feel comfortable. Most women wear sports bras or tank tops and athletic shorts, yoga shorts or leggings. Most men wear athletic shorts.
Arrive Early
Arrive 10 minutes before class begins, this will give you plenty of time to fill out our waiver and get acquainted with our studio. Please note that all students under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian sign their waiver prior to taking their first class.
During COVID-19 our studio opens 10 minutes prior to class time and we will remain open for 10 minutes after the end of each class. We lock our doors before class begins.
When you arrive please stop at the front desk and remove your shoes in the Lobby.
Before Class
Bring only your towel, water bottle and mat inside the practice room. Use the bathroom before class and bring plenty of water so you won't need to leave the room.
Take It Easy
You will feel challenged during class, everyone does. Work hard, but listen to your body. Never be afraid to sit down. It’s normal to feel dizzy, nauseous or light headed. It’s temporary and as your body acclimates & detoxes, these sensations will disappear.
Expect to Sweat
The room is heated & sweating is an intentional component of this yoga. The heat will help to warm your muscles, prevent injuries & allow for a deeper workout. Sweating also helps flush toxins from the body.
Stay in the Room
Each 75 minute class consists of a standing series & a floor series. Each posture builds on the last & prepares for the next. Please commit to staying in the room for the entire class.
No Judgment
During class no one will look at you or judge you. Other people’s focus is on themselves, they are working too hard to even notice you. The teacher will guide you & instruct you, always with compassion & respect. No need to be self-conscious.
Ask Questions
Look over our FAQ page for answers to our most common questions and feel free to approach the teachers with any questions or concerns before & after class. If you have any pre-existing injuries or modifications for any other reasons, please speak to the teacher before class.
Get to Know the Ins and Outs
As a beginner we know there is a lot of info to take in and it is difficult to know what is expected of you. Please take some time to look over our Policies page
Come Back Soon

You might feel nauseous, dizzy, or have a slight headache after class. This could be a sign that you are dehydrated. Drink lots of water, including electrolytes.
